Jiufen 九份 (Taipei)

A small town that flourished due to gold mining and kept its beauty when the mining ceased. The old town is always teeming with tourists for its atmosphere, food and great view of the ocean. 

How to get there?
Address: Jishan Street, Ruifang District, New Taipei City, Taiwan 224

From Taipei Railway Station (Platform No. 4), take train to Ruifang (瑞芳). If you are not sure which platform, check with the station person.
Train fare costs NT$44 (using Easycard) and it takes about an hour to reach Ruifang (瑞芳).
Alight at Ruifang station and follow the exit sign to the main hall.
From the main hall, walk to the bus stop that is next to the Police Department and take Bus No. 1062. Bus fare costs NT$15 per person (can pay by Easycard).
The bus travels up the slope and you'll alight at this bus stop.
Walk towards 7-Eleven and Jiufen street commences next to it.

Jiufen Gu Zao Wan 九份古早丸

Our lunch was at 九份古早丸 which costs only NT$120.
Select the food and quantity on the order slip and pay at the cashier
We ordered the "Wu Wei Zong He Wan" soup (五味綜合丸) and braised minced meat rice (Ru Rou Fan/滷肉飯). 

Lai Ah Po Yu Yuan 賴阿婆芋圆

We also had our dessert at the nearby 賴阿婆芋圆.
Their taro balls are handmade and the soup tastes just nice, not too sweet.

Grape Seed 野生葡萄籽

We came across this shop that gave us free samples of grape juice. And we ended up buying two bottles of grape juices which cost us NT$500.

We also bought tea at this shop. 1 small packet costs NT$300 and the bigger packet costs NT$500.
Done with the shopping. Next, Chiate!
We were being approached by the taxi driver who was on the way back to the city area. He offered the taxi fare to Zhongxiao Fuxing at NT$200 per person. So we took the taxi and checked whether he could drop us at Chiate.
